Program:
From the 1st or 2nd suite of Carmen – Georges Bizet;  Navarra, op. 33  – Pablo de Sarasate (Solisten: Stefan Aprodu, stefanaprodu.com  & Inga Rodina, www.youtube.com/@ingarodina673, Violinen); Romance, op. 11 – Antonin Dvorak (Solistin: Klara Cheng, www.klaracheng.com, Violine); Danzón No. 2 –Arturo Márquez; Celtic Suite, Mini Strings; Farkas Suite, Junior Strings

Storage contribution:        

690 CHF (basic amount), 10% discount for each additional family member

• With Alexander Technique (optional): +75 CHF (total 765 CHF)
• With violin master class (optional, only for violinists!): +150 CHF (total 840 CHF)

If both the Alexander Technique and the violin master course are chosen, the total amount is 899 CHF.

Interested applicants must email the following documents contact@youth-symphony.org submit:

1. Written request: A detailed description of motivation and goals.
2. A letter of recommendation: From a teacher, mentor or musician.
3. Presentation of the financial situation: Evidence or a statement of financial need.

Please note: Incomplete applications cannot be considered.

Included: 
Rehearsal weekend Saturday 28th and Sun 29th June 2025;  Camp October 4th to 11th, 2025 with sports and musical support (over 10 highly experienced professional musicians); Accommodation; catering (October 4-10); Dress rehearsal October 9th; Concerts October 10th and 11th, 2025; Photoshoot – individual images; leisure activities; Alexander – technology*; Violin master class*;  6 soloist prizes (selected participants will perform as soloists with an orchestra at two or three concerts in 2026)

Reading sample days (2 days):                                                                 Program: 1st day: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wattwil; Day 2: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wattwil.

Participation:

Start of camp: Sat. October 4th, 2025 at 10 a.m. in Charmey (FR), individual arrival

End of storage: Fri. October 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Charmey (FR), shared return trip from Charmey – Münsterlingen (TG) in the car is organized by us (departure approx. 10:30 a.m. in Charmey (FR).

Individual overnight stay from October 10th to 11th. (At home).

Für ausländische und inländische Teilnehmende aus der Süd- und Westschweiz wird für eine Pauschale von 400 CHF die Übernachtungsmöglichkeit und Verpflegung vom 3. auf 4. Oktober bzw. vom 10. bis 12. Oktober organisisert.

For Participants under 10 years old will be one Accompaniment by parents, grandparents or adult siblings recommended. Parents, grandparents or adult siblings who accompany the participants must cover the costs of accommodation and meals themselves. We have a list of accommodations that we would be happy to share upon request. Alternatively, you can book the accommodation yourself at: www.booking.com 

Registration:
Registration is binding. The participation fee must be paid by May 31, 2025

Requirement:
Mini strings: 2-3 years of instrumental lessons (exceptions possible with the approval of the Youth Symphony management) – NO video recording application necessary!

Junior strings: 3-4 years of instrumental lessons (exceptions possible with the approval of the Youth Symphony management) – NO video recording application necessary!

Youth Symphony Orchestra: Strings: lessons for ages 5 and up; Wind instruments/percussion: lessons for ages 3 and up (exceptions possible with permission from the Youth Symphony management) – Video recording application - for more detailed information see below (video recording requirements)

Preparation:
The sheet music is already available online. The access data will be sent with the registration confirmation.
